Chef Andrew Ferenc

Andrew Ferenc, Chef/Owner of On the Fly Sandwiches & Stuff, stands as one of the pioneers of today’s Jacksonville, FL food truck scene.

Andrew has been working in kitchens since the age of 15 and used his 19 years of experience to create his restaurant on wheels in 2011.

His attention to detail, plate presentation and ability to create eclectic dishes has garnered numerous accolades. Andrew has received “Best of” Awards in Jacksonville Magazine, Folio Weekly, Void Magazine and has won multiple Food Truck Champion and People’s Choice Titles at the Jax Truckies Food Truck Championships.


Prior to opening On the Fly, Andrew worked at many notable restaurants in and around Jacksonville to include First Street Grill (Sous Chef), The Homestead (Sous Chef), Comfort Inn Oceanfront (Executive Chef), Aqua Grill (Sous Chef) and Selva Marina Golf & Country Club (Sous Chef). 

Andrew has been featured in many publications, both online and print to include "Cooking with Intuition" by Cari Sanchez-Potter & Robin Rutenberg, "The Chef's Canvas" presented by Jacksonville's Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens & Cari Sanchez-Potter and "Jacksonville Food Trucks, Stories & Recipes From the Road" by Nancy White
